Pets Wecome
Pets are welcome at no additional charge. We supply water and food dishes, leashes and throws to cover the couches. An outside tap & hose is located next to the main door.
The local mini market stocks dry
& wet pet food.
Cheviot Vets is located two miles away.
Max of two large dogs.
Please let us know if you are bringing your pet(s) with you.
Car Parking
Private car parking for our guests is located next to the main entrance to the cottage at the rear of the building. There is a turning / reversing area.
Our EV charging point is currently not working. We are trying to obtain a replacement. There is a fast EV charging station in Alnwick next to McDonalds
WI FI & Mobiles
The cottage has free WI FI.
Please be aware that whilst orange & Vodaphone have a good coverage at the cottage the signal for O2 can be varied.
Smoking Policy
We operate a strict NO smoking policy within the cottage.
No E cigarettes or Vaping
Cottage Layout
All the accommodation is on one level. With no steps or stairs it is ideal for those with limited mobility. The width of the standard doors make it unsuitable for those confined to a wheel chair. There is a step onto the terrace from the sun lounge. A grab handle is mounted on the exterior wall.
Grab handles are also fitted above the bath
Children
With one bedroom, the cottage is ideal for couples, but young guests are welcome at no additional charge.
There are no play facilities on site.
There is a playground in the village
Local Services & Shops
Local Services include a convenience store / post office and Petrol Station located at Hedgeley, 1 mile north of the village. Open 7am to 10pm. It also has a cash machine
The nearest pub The Queen's Head is in Glanton. 1.5 miles away
The nearest large supermarkets Morrisons & Sainsburys are located in Alnwick. The nearest Tesco is in Berwick. The towns of Wooler & Rothbury each have a small co-op and quality butchers.
We are also covered by home delivery services operated by TESCO, ASDA & Sainsburys.
